This post shows students and new users steps to enable or disable Magnifier in Windows 11. Windows comes with a Magnifier that makes part or all of your screen bigger so you can see words and images better.
Similar to magnifying glass, Magnifier app in Windows is used to produce a magnified image of an object on one’s screen so they can see and read better. This is useful for people with poor vision or have difficulties seeing objects on their computer screen.
There are many settings one can use with Magnifier in Windows. Once enabled, you can customize Magnifier zoon level, smooth edges of images and text, change how mouse pointer works with Magnifier and many other settings.
To quickly turn on Magnifier, press the Windows logo key + Plus sign (+). To turn off Magnifier, press the Windows logo key + Esc.
If you prefer using a mouse, select Start > Settings > Accessibility > Magnifier, and then turn on the Magnifier switch.
How to enable or disable Magnifier in Windows 11
As mentioned above, Magnifier makes part or all of your screen bigger so you can see words and images better.
It’s easy to enable and disable in Windows 11.
Windows 11 has a centralized location for majority of its settings app. From system configurations to creating new users and updating Windows, all can be done from the System Settings pane.
To get to System Settings, you can use the Windows key + i shortcut or click on Start ==> Settings as shown in the image below:
Alternatively, you can use the search box on the taskbar and search for Settings. Then select to open it.
Windows Settings pane should look similar to the image below. In Windows Settings, click Accessibility, and select Magnifier on the right pane of your screen shown in the image below.
On the Accessibility > Magnifier settings pane, toggle the switch to On or Off to enable or disable Magnifier in Windows.
You can also press the Windows logo key + Plus sign (+) to turn on Magnifier. To turn off Magnifier, press the Windows logo key + Esc.
You can close Windows Settings app.
