Snaps are containerized software packages that are simple to create and install. They are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build which allow them to update automatically and roll back gracefully.

To install Spotify from via Snap package management, run the commands below.

sudo apt install snapd
sudo snap install spotify

Once the installation is complete, you should see similar message as the one below:

spotify from Spotify✓ installed

That should install Spotify on Ubuntu. You can start the Spotify client either from the terminal by typing spotify or by clicking on the Spotify icon (Activities -> Spotify).

You can login with your account or create one and start listening to your favorite music.
