How to Change Date Format in Windows 11

This post describes steps you can take to change the date format in Windows 11.

In Windows, your regional settings will influence how your date/time, numeric, and currency data types appear when you apply formatting options.

Windows supports a variety of languages, date and time formats for the countries and regions that use those languages. You can also choose the date and time format to use in Windows if you want.

By default, Windows uses forward slashes to enter a date value for a Date/Time field (for example, 8/29/2019). However, you can choose not to use forward slashes in the date shown in Windows.

The date format in Windows is based on the short date and long date values shown in your documents, apps and taskbar.

Below is how to change the date format when using Windows 11.
